so i guess i havent told you much about my comp elder vause so i will right now. he is a ranga haha, loves music (favorite is indy), pretty relaxed like me, and loves the color burgandy. im not sure what else to tell you about him besides that and he also knows a lot of cool random facts in the scriptues. oh he is from ogden, utah. alright next i have to tell you who i saw last week (i think). i saw elder bickmore! i had no idea that he was coming into the CCM this soon after me but it was a wonderful surprise. also i saw elder cole brady he was on the wrestling team with me and he just got here this past wed. ill have to picks with both of them to send home but i did get one with elder reber this last tues after the devotional which was awesome! elder ballard spoke! one of my favorite parts was when he talked about when president hinckley suggested that the missionaries need to stop teaching "wooden" discussions but share the gospel in our own words (sorry dad for the flip charts :P). i am so grateful that we are given the wonderful book Preach my Gospel (or Predicad Mi Evangelio) and how it helps us to become better missionaries. my biggest goal is to become a "preach my gospel 'missionary"' dad i know that you are still involved with the deacons and you have a great influence on them. please encourage them to use preach my gospel because it isnt just about missionary work it teaches us how to become better people and come closer to christ which is our purpose as missionaries. my little lesson this week that have learned from the scripures is in 2 nephi 9;41 my favorite part is "the keeper of the gate is the holy one of israel and he employeth no servant there" for those of us that are following that strait and narrow path this is a wonderful phrase because as we follow the strait and narrow path we will come to know our savior(the holy one of israel) and he will become our best friend. and i dont know about you but i cant express the joy that i will feel when i leave this life and am greeted by my best friend at the gate... but for those of us that are not on that path this is scary thought because like it says "the lord god cannot be decieved" and we will be judged of our actions. i am grateful for the opportunity to share thes things that i have learned from this wonderful book and i know that what i am doing the most wonderful thing i have ever done in my whole life. and i am looking forward to bringing other unto christ and myself along the way. i love you guys so much and you better keep writing! im not sure if the brothers have been getting there letters cause i havent got any from them in awhile. keep contuing on the right path and i know that things can only get better along the way.
